  • July General Membership Meeting Speaker

    Michael Garison will be the speaker for the July General Membership Meeting. Michael was one of our exchange students in 2008. He is a world traveler and has spent the past school year in Morocco teaching English to high school students. He will present a slide show of his time in Morocco.
  • Sister Cities Purchased Bricks for the Alumni Courtyard at the High School

    Sister Cities has purchase three bricks for a project spearheaded by the alumni of the Class of 2012 at the high school. The bricks are a meaningful way for Butler alumni, teachers and supporters to make a mark on the school. The bricks are displayed in the south courtyard of the high school with benches, shrubs and flowers. Stop by the high school and check it out.

  • 40th Annual Oktoberfest Dates Announced!!!

    Sister Cities of Vandalia will hold their 40th Annual Oktoberfest on September 9th and 10th. We will be CLOSED on Sunday. Join us on Friday and Saturday for delicious food, cold beer, live bands, and gambling. This year we will NOT have the Kids or Arts and Crafts booth.   • Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra Tour 2017

    I have been in touch with Euan Terras, the Director & Tour Manager of the Orchestra and following is their tentative plan for visiting Vandalia in 2017. They are planning to have 85 young people in the Orchestra with 14 supporting adults. They will be arriving on the evening of the 4th of July and leaving early on July 8th. Their last visit to Vandalia was in 2011 and their excitement is starting to build for their visit to Vandalia in 2017. -Harvey
