  • 2016 Sister Cities Picnic

    The annual picnic will be held on Wednesday June 8th at 6:00pm, at the Blakesly's home, 720 Bright Ave in Vandalia. All food and drinks will be provided, no need to bring anything.   • Kroger Community Rewards Program

    As neighbors in the community, Kroger’s sees firsthand how the recent economic challenges have impacted local organizations. That’s why they are assisting local charitable organizations of all sizes, through the 2016 Kroger Community Rewards Program starting May 1, 2016 to April 30, 2017. As a reminder, you must re-enroll your Kroger Plus Cards online from April 1st through April 30th to participate in the program for 2016. Please enroll your plus cards. Last year we received approximately $600 through this program. The Sister Cities of Vandalia Organization number is 81273. If you need help re-enrolling your Plus Card, please call Ann Kimmel at 901-6031 after April 1st.
  • 40th Annual Oktoberfest Dates Announced!!!

    Sister Cities of Vandalia will hold their 40th Annual Oktoberfest on September 9th and 10th. We will be CLOSED on Sunday. Join us on Friday and Saturday for delicious food, cold beer, live bands, and gambling. This year we will NOT have the Kids or Arts and Crafts booth.   • Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra Tour 2017

    I have been in touch with Euan Terras, the Director & Tour Manager of the Orchestra and following is their tentative plan for visiting Vandalia in 2017. They are planning to have 85 young people in the Orchestra with 14 supporting adults. They will be arriving on the evening of the 4th of July and leaving early on July 8th. Their last visit to Vandalia was in 2011 and their excitement is starting to build for their visit to Vandalia in 2017. -Harvey
